Summary

The cropmarks of a possible ring ditch or incomplete circular enclosure of unknown, but probable later prehistoric to Roman date, are visible on aerial photographs. The faint cropmarks may relate to the remains of Bronze Age round barrow or possibly an enclosure of some sort, possibly associated with the surrounding field system, interpreted as being of possible Roman date (GSE 077).

July 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
The cropmarks of a possible ring ditch or incomplete circular enclosure of unknown, but probable later prehistoric to Roman date, are visible on aerial photographs (S1). The faint cropmarks may relate to the remains of Bronze Age round barrow or possibly an enclosure of some sort, possibly associated with the surrounding field system, interpreted as being of possible Roman date (GSE 077).
