Full Description
Cropmarks of an incomplete wide ditched enclosure 94m by 70m, possibly a former medieval moated site. The northen and eastern edge of the enclosure are visible as cropmarks. The cropmarks abutt a water course marked on the 1:10,000 OS mapping; the water course appears to complete the enclosure. A modern track cuts through the cropmarks and it is unclear if the gaps in the cropmark are entrances or caused by this modern trackway (S1). H Saunders (Essex County Council), November 2013
