Full Description

Ring ditch circa 20m diameter - near BAY 002 (S1).

Detailed magnetometer survey was carried out over 9 hectares of an 11.7 hectare site. The presence of a smaller ring ditch, also identified from cropmarks in the southern part of the survey area, was not been substantiated by the magnetometer survey (S2).

Cropmarks of a sub-circular ring-ditch 22m in diameter, probably representing a Bronze Age round barrow. The barrow has no visible internal features or entrances and is located 100m north-east of a further barrow (BAY 002). Helen Saunders (Essex County Council) February 2014. (S3)
