Full Description
Ring ditch or circular enclosure, circa 75m diameter. A semi-circle only surviving, no traces obvious of E side, but two more small ring ditches, CRM 021, 022, located on this side. This ring ditch is immediately N of ring ditch CRM 019 (S1).
Cropmarks of a large sub-circular enclosure, possibly a settlement enclosure of prehistoric date, 37m in diameter, with internal ring-ditch, that could represent a round house. The enclosure has two possible entrances, one a simple inturned terminals, facing north-east, while the second faces south. A small ring-ditch is visible within the enclosure, 11m in diameter, which may represent a round house. Other ring-ditches mentioned were not located on the available aerial photography. Helen Saunders (Essex County Council), February 2014. (S2)
