Full Description
Ring ditch. Single circle, circa 20-25m diameter, E of railway (S1)(S2). Trackway/linear feature 004 swerves to avoid this.
2002: part of larger evaluation but left outside excavated area - see BRK 104.
AP assessment confirmed the presence of a ring ditch at this location, with evidence for a slight mound (S4).
Cropmarks of a ring-ditch, 21m in diameter, which probably represents a ploughed out Bronze Age round barrow. The Roman road veers to avoid this barrow. Helen Saunders (Essex County Council), February 2014. (S2, S5)
