Full Description

A WWII pillbox along the railway line, located to the west of the railway bridge. The pillbox is clearly visible on 1946 and 1947 RAF photography, but has been destroyed by housing. The pillbox was surrounded by a series of at least 28 anti-tank cubes forming a semi-circle to the north and west. Helen Saunders (Essex County Council), April 2014. (S1-S2)
