Full Description
Various cropmarks, including possible rectilinear enclosure, circa 100m wide NE-SW. Entrance in mid SE side and possibly in S corner. Linked by ditch to irregular enclosure, HRK 037. Various internal and external ditches visible (S1). Field systems etc. to S, HRK 011, and SE, HRK 005.
Cropmarks of a large rectilinear enclosure possibly prehistoric in date. The enclosure is 117m by 105m but is not complete as the north-west corner is not visible on the available aerial photographs. The enclosure ditch appears to have two further breaks which may represent entrances on the south-east boundary. No internal features are visible, but the enclosure is crossed by a long linear ditch which maybe a field boundary of a different date. Helen Saunders (Essex County Council), March 2015. (S2)
