Full Description

A scatter of possible oyster pits or 'borrow' pits, of unknown date, are visible in front of the sea bank around where Decoy Creek used to pass through it (TM 424565). The pits are not densely packed but the saltmarsh is very eroded in places and some of the pits may actually be natural; equally a number of pits may have been eroded, so the original extent of these features is not clear. (S1-3)
Initially numbered as IKN 022 during pilot survey of intertial area. Re-numbered Nov 2004
