Full Description
A World War II strongpoint is visible in 1941 at TM 523804 (northeast of Easton Wood) as possibly four pillboxes with an associated trench system within barbed wire (doubled on the northwest and southwest sides and extended along the cliff top to the southwest). One of the pillboxes overlooks the beach by Covehithe Broad and the associated tank cubes (S1). The site has since been eroded away.
Initially numbered as COV 029 during pilot survey of intertial area. Re-numbered Nov 2004
