Full Description

Four zig-zag earthworks are visible on 1940 aerial photographs (S1) in between chalets at Corton Beach holiday camp. The earthworks have entrances at either end and range from 18m to 33m long. These features are covered trench air raid shelters and would most likely have been used by military personnel who were probably stationed in the holiday camp. Although somewhat less crisp, the shelters are still visible on photographs from 1946 (S2).
