Summary

The possible remains of a ploughed-out Bronze Age round barrow are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs in Alderton parish. This site is likely to have formed part of a Bronze Age round barrow cemetery, see ADT 105 for details.

Full Description

A ring ditch approximately 21m in diameter is visible as a cropmark in the field to the south of Buckanay Farm. (S1) (S2)
The size of the ring ditch and its close proximity to two other ring ditches (ADT 026, 027) may suggest that it is the remains of a Bronze Age burial mound. (S3)
