Full Description

A circular structure with an annexe is visible on London Road North, Lowestoft, on 1944 aerial photographs (S1). It appears to be a World War II pillbox, but is not of a typical form. It measures between 7 & 8m across The structure seems to appear on earlier photographs from 1941 (S2), but it is not very clear, and may possibly be under construction at this point.
