An enclosure, apparently used for the storage of barrage balloons, is visible close to Lowestoft Docks, just north-east of Double Bascule Bridge, on 1941 aerial photographs (S1). The feature consists of an enclosure surrounding a number of barrage balloons. The site is still visible in 1944 (S2) and appears to still be in use.
