Full Description

Approximately 9 anti-tank cubes are visible close to the beach on the Esplanade at Lowestoft on 1941 aerial photographs (S1). They are also visible on later photographs from 1944 (S2). These anti-tank cubes would appear to have been part of the beach defences in this area, positioned to impede an enemy invasion from the sea.
