Full Description

A small rectangular structure, c 8m across, possibly a pillbox, can be seen on 1941 aerial photographs (S1). It appears to be joined to a section of trench, c 30m long. The feature is still visible on a 1944 aerial photograph (S2). It's function is not clear from the photographs, but it is likely to be part of the World War II coastal defences of this area, and may have been used for practice.
