Full Description

Two World War II slit trenches can be seen just south of Deadman's Covert on 1945 aerial photographs (S1). They are fairly close to some anti-glider ditches (BLB 040) and would probably have acted as a defensive feature in tandem with these during the war. They can still clearly be seen on an aerial photograph from 1946 (S2).
