Full Description

A stretch of sea bank, c 350m long, can be seen on the eastern edge of a creek to the east of Walberswick as an earthwork on a 1945 aerial photograph (S1). The bank is depicted on the OS 1st Ed 25" county series map of c1884, which is an indication that this features has its origins as an element of the post-medieval flood defences in this area.
