Full Description
1940 aerial photographs (S1) show a length of trench and a gun emplacement c500m to the north of Dunwich, visible as earthworks. The features can still be seen on 1941 photographs (S2), but another section of trench has been added to the west of the 1940 features, which joins together two pillboxes, at TM47837115 & TM47857116. In addition, a Y-shaped stretch of barbed wire obstruction has been erected to the north of the two trench systems. The features can still be seen on 1945 photographs (S3), with an additional trench visible to the north-west of the others, and a small circular hole (?crater) visible to the north of that.
