Full Description
A short linear stretch of groups of posts can be seen in the inter-tidal zone on aerial photographs taken in September 1945 at Stonner Point, Sutton parish (TM 2906 4470). They appear to be very similar in nature to other alignments of posts located nearby which have been identified as the remains of probable Post Medieval fish traps. Other parts of the structure may be have been destroyed or obscured by the large mud bank. The feature is not visible on any of later photography examined. (S1)
See SUT 127 and SUT 128 for the fish traps located nearby and SUT 129 for other alignments which may have been related to the fish trap complex.
