Full Description
A structure of unknown date and funtion can be seen in the Deben Estuary at TM 29224223, on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s. The structure appears to be constructed of posts and runs north to south kinking as it crosses the Post Medieval boat hard (HMY 017). It is not clear if it is related directly to the functioning of the boat hard but it does appear to block the entrance to the small inlet cut into the salt-marsh nearby (HMY 019) although for what purpose it is unclear. (S1) (S2) (S3)
See HMY 017 for Post Medieval boat hard and HMY 019 for the small harbour inlet.
