Full Description
A World War II bomb crater is visible as an earthwork, at TM 28254983, on aerial photographs taken from the 1940s onwards. The crater is visible as a circular hollow, roughly 24m in diameter. The impact has caused a breach in the sea bank. Loose material is visible radiating from the hollow which may represent upcast from the impact. The bomb was dropped at some point before 19th April 1944. (S1) (S2)
