Full Description
A World War II pillbox is visible on aerial photographs of Aldeburgh, at circa TM46505685. It is first visible in 1941 and appears to be located so as to to be able to observer the junction of Victoria Road and the High Street in Aldeburgh. It also acts as a roadblock to prevent passage from Moot Hall square and the seafront. It is just visible on an aerial photograph of 1943, but the detail of the image is poor (S2). The road appears to be free of obstacles by October 1945 (S3).
