Full Description

Slit trenches of a World War II date are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs, centred on circa TM46415590. The trenches are first visible on aerial photographs of 1941, and they appear to be remodelled between October and December of that year (S1-S2). Three trenches are visible in December 1941, located at circa TM46415593, TM46415590 and TM46415589. They are approximately 2m wide and are, from the north to the south, about 13, 8 and 4m long. The trenches are not visible in October 1945 and may have been rapidly filled in at the end of the war (S3).
