Full Description

A structure in the inter-tidal zone of the River Alde is visible on aerial photographs at Slaughden quay, at circa TM46315541. The structure is visible as a row of posts, probably timber, running for approximately 30m from circa TM46305542 to TM46325539. The posts are only visible on aerial photographs from 1940 to 1943, and in the latter instance they are only partially visible on the print (S1-S3). They were probably a revetment for a Post Medieval bank or dock at Slaughden quay.
