Full Description
A World War II coastal artillery searchlight is visible as a structure on aerial photographs taken from 1944 onwards, centred on TM 28463158 on the eastern side of Landguard Point, Felixstowe. The structure, probably an illuminated area light, measures roughly 6m by 4m. A large opening is visible in its rounded front through which a wedge-shaped beam would have shone. It is located in a gap in the anti-tank cubes which encloses the peninsular. (S1) (S2) (S3) (S4)
