Full Description

World War II iron spikes or 'Dragon's Teeth' are visible at TM 346385, poking out of the sand on the beach at Bawdsey, on an aerial photograph taken in 1941. The spikes stretch for around 600m and functioned as a barrier to prevent vessels landing on the beach. The features have not been mapped as part of the Suffolk Coastal NMP project due to their location and the extreme oblique nature of the photograph. (S1)
