Full Description

An earthwork of Second World War date, possibly a Light Anti-aircraft Artillery emplacement, can be seen on aerial photographs approximately 200 metres to the north-west of Brookhill Cottage, on Foxhall Heath, Kesgrave parish, centred on circa TM211441. Two, and possibly more slit trenches are visible immediately to the west of the possible gun emplacement. It was probably an outlying defence of Martlesham Heath air base, located to the north-east.
