Full Description

A slit trench of Second World War date can be seen as an earthwork to the north of Martlesham Heath, centred on circa TM256455, on aerial photographs of the 1940s. It is a roughly 'm' shaped trench circa 20 metres in length. It is most probably an outlying defence of Martlesham Heath airfield. (S1)
