Monument record BNB 010 - World War II anti-tank obstructions.

A tank trap obstruction known as Anti-Tank Cubes are visible on aerial photographs as structures to the south of the railway line and the west of White House Farm, Barnby parish, at circa TM 487906. They were probably placed here to prevent enemy armoured vehicles easy travel along the line of the tracks in the event of a successful invasion. (S1, S2)

There are six tank traps deposited here as the threat of invasion loomed in 1940. They have never been moved and are now covered in ivy and partially hidden by the undergrowth and trees which have grown up around them (S3).
