Multi period site on parish boundary Wattisfield/Rickinghall Inferior with most of Cottage Field lying within Rickinghall.

Circular cropmark, approx 25m diameter, possible ring ditch.

Farm buildings at Cottage Farm, which include a 17th C farmhouse, a 15th C open hall house, an 18th/19th C threshing barn and a 19th C cattle shed.

Scatter of pottery - two probable C12 rims, the remainder unglazed C13-C14 wares.

Med pottery scatter North of Cottage Farm.

Scatter of pottery found in a strip 210 feet wide. Possible date range late C1-C3 ?

Post structure at edge of saltmarsh with oyster beds behind. Shown on 1st ed. OS map. Remains of old cottages behind sea wall with very heavy machinery associated with power generation for gravel digging. (RSPB Warden)
