Description
Monitoring ahead of the replacement of the water main running westward from the water tower. The course of the pipeline passed beside the church. The monitoring consisted of walking the 10m wide easement. The archaeology was quite shallow and probably much has been ploughed away. The presence of pottery across the field demonstrates the effects of this in distributing material over a wider area (S1).
