Full Description

A general scatter of medieval pottery was found. There was a concentration of material bordering the lane leading to the church which could indicate the remnants of an occupation deposit. Pottery, tile, burnt flint, charcoal and an area of burnt clay were identified within a shallow layer of clayey loam distinct from the ploughsoil (S1, S2).
