Description

A programme of excavation was undertaken I a low depression in the south east corner of Church Meadow. Several one metre square test trenches were excavated to ascertain soil conditions and former activity. Following this the whole area to the south of the churchyard was gridded into four metre square boxes, quatered into four sections. Seventeen trenches were excavated as part of the main excavations.
