Description
Building work without condition undertaken. A single site visit was made when the strip foundations had already been excavated using small tracked mechanical excavator. All trenches were 0.7m wide and excavated to a depth 1.2m below the existing ground level. A total length of c.15m of trench was observed. The base of the foundation trenches and upstanding soil sections were hand cleaned where necessary to further define any archaeological features or stratigraphy (S1).
