Description
During excavation of a soke dyke as part of flood alleviation works, a number of worked timber posts were uncovered. Full excavation of the disturbed area (25m x 8m) was undertaken revealing a total of 29 posts were recovered, one of which was radiocarbon dated to the Romano-British period. Environmental sampling was also undertaken to establish a palaeoenvironmental sequence.
