Description
Monitoring of footings for a new detached garage and store. The footings observed covered an area of c. 102 sq m, along the northwestern side of the existing building. The area was reduced to 0.2m below surface level, then footings were excavated another 0.2m below that. The monitoring was largely negative, with only a spread of flint and brick hardcore being noted towards the eastern half of the footings. It is believed that this may relate to a previous garage structure that had been demolished some 20-30 years previously (S1).
