Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried out on the excavation of footing trenching for a new stairwell. The site was stripped prior to the footings being dug which exposed the natural orange gravel and silt subsoil. The footings were c.1.1m and dug through natural fill. A shallow medieval pit was identified (S1).
