Description
Two small open excavations were carried out to target the unexcavated portions of the features revealed during the earlier evaluation. This was followed by a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording across the rest of the site. Recent overburden and made ground were mechanically excavated under close supervision, thereafter all excavation was undertaken by hand (S1).
