Description
Three environmental samples were taken. The samples confirm the presence of river terrace deposits at levels up to 9m OD. The recorded sediments are alomost all inorganic sands, gravels, silts and clays and no rich organic "Bone Bed" material was found in any of the samples. The "Bone Bed" appears to be fonfined to the north and west of this site. The aggradational sequence here compared to "Bobbitshole" (MIS 5e) (Marine Isotope Stage) suggests the "Bone Bed" is older (MIS 7).
