Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried out on foundation trenches and upcast spoil. The trenches measured 0.4m wide, 13m long and were excavated to a depth 0.9m. The trenches revealed a uniform depth of 0.4m brown sandy subsoil across the building footprint. Below this was 0.5m deep layer of mid brown sandy subsoil that contained medieval pottery.
