Description
Four archaeological evaluation trenches were excavated on land to the south of Steeles Road, Woolpit in June 2014 in advance of a planned redevelopment of the residential accommodation in the area. Two undated ditch features were identified in the arable land on the southern edge of the development area, near a findspot of Roman artefacts although no archaeologically relevant finds were encountered during the trial trenching.
