Monitoring was carried out on groundworks for the re-location and re-construction of a historic barn. Two visits were made to the site under dry and sunny conditions with good site visibility. A third visit was made to examine the stripped area for the raft foundation for the link extension. For the barn and cartlodge area, the trenches were entered when it was between 1m and 1.3m deep to enable a close examination of the exposed deposits while the deeper stretches were scanned from above. Spoil was inspected but not metal detected (S1).
