Description

Monitoring of groundworks for a narrow cable trench between the hall and its gatehouse recorded evidence for the brick built outer gatehouse to the north of the hall which is shown on the Pierse estate map 1613. A total of 13 visits were made to observe the excavation of the cable trench which was 0.3m wide and 0.5m deep (S1).
