Description
Excavation was conducted after evaluation ahead of the construction of an affordable residential development. The excavation encountered a topsoil of dark brown grey clay silt with occasional small angular flint and moderate chalk pieces 0.10m-0.3m deep, above a subsoil of mid grey brown silty clay with occasional chalk flecks 0.004-0.22m deep. The underlying natural comprised light grey yellow clay with frequent small chalk flecks/pieces and moderate flint (S1).
