Description
Two excavation areas (Areas A and B), totalling c.2.95ha, were the focus of this initial phase of mitigation fieldwork.
Excavations in all parts of the site revealed a typical stratigraphic sequence of 0.30-0.60m thick dark greyish brown silty clay ploughsoil with occasional stones that overlaid two types of natural deposits.
