Description

1998: An archaeological excavation was undertaken on the site of the former Newmarket Isolation Hospital. Two separate areas were subjected to open area excavation. Area 1 was within the footprint of Building E measuring c.28.00m x 1.00m (308m2). The foundation trenches for buildings A, B and C were monitored prior to the pouring of the concrete foundations.
