Full Description

Numerous hand-axes and other implements are recorded as from Icklingham. The majority probably come from Rampart Hill (IKL 025) or from some of the other sites known to have produced Palaeolithic implements (see IKL 012, 026, 039, 043, 045, 046 & 054), although some may actually be from Mildenhall parish (S1).

Roe lists 83 hand-axes, 36 flakes & a levallois flake with just the general provenance of Icklingham from various museums (S2).

Formerly recorded as IKL MISC
