Full Description
1989: Excavation of circa 1500 sq m prior to construction of Sports Centre for Forest Heath District Council located various features, Ipswich ware, Thetford ware, Stamford ware and St Neots ware, animal bones etc (S1). Excavation details to follow. Summary in (S1)
Note some spoil from this site, including material not archaeologically examined, was dumped in two locations in Santon Downham - see STN Misc, CRN 14076 (Thetford ware rim) & CRN 14077 & 14078.
