Full Description

On NE edge of former gravel extraction pit, two wooden ?piles exposed, circa 12m S of river, 5m W of tributary running S of river.
Also Rom pottery found circa 190m S - see Rom.
Also animal bone excavated from exposed section of peat (overlying (?plough) soil containing Rom pottery) circa 5m S of Rom pottery - see sketch section & plans in parish file (S1).
