Full Description

1886/7: Discoveries made during excavation of sewer trench between Bury St Edmunds and West Stow sewage works in 1886/7.

Mr Prigg noted that "from this site (also see Roman?) also I hope soon to announce the discovery of flint implements of Palaeolithic age, in the gravel beds recently encountered" (S1).

The sewer trench runs [ran?] along Pigeon Lane so this may the same site as FAS 061, (S3)
